The 2020 Summit on Improvement in Education was a three-day virtual professional learning experience that took place April 1–3.
The opening keynote by Carnegie President Tony Bryk kicked off the virtual conference, which included 40+ live breakout sessions, 25+ recorded presentations, opportunities to view 50+ posters, and three keynotes that inspired and challenged participants. This program was designed to provide education leaders opportunities to assess their own progress, access tools and resources to strengthen their work, and deepen their colleagueship with like-minded leaders on similar improvement journeys to address longstanding inequities in educational outcomes.
Access to all the 2020 Summit sessions and posters is now available through the 2020 Summit Digital Library.
Attendees customized their virtual Summit experience
Participants chose from live and prerecorded sessions, such as “Leading for Equity” and “The Nature and Critical Importance of School, District, and System Change.” They learned from improvers who are getting results in applying the power of improvement science to their own community.
Attendees engaged with leaders and practitioners
Posters provide the opportunity to learn from and with others in the field. Participants explored posters representing a wide array of improvement efforts and listened to recordings of poster presentations.
